Summer makeup in my opinion should be lightweight and glowy. I know I don’t want to spend hours inside putting my makeup on to sweat it off in half an hour, I’d much rather be out enjoying the sunshine. I thought I’d put together my current go to picks for a quick ten minute everyday summer makeup look.
I always start my base with my all time favourite primer Laura Geller’s Hydrating Spackle Primer. It creates a smooth base to apply my base products, keeps my face hydrated throughout the day and stops makeup from sinking into my pores.
Lily Lolo’s BB Cream mixed with Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter has been my current go to combination for my complexion. The two mixed together create the most beautiful glowy, skin like finish. I just use my fingers to mix them together and apply to my skin so this cuts out time too! Seriously if you haven’t heard about Charlotte Tilbury’s Flawless Filter yet you need to check out my review, it’s currently my most favourite product this year!
I use a little Nars Soft Matte Concealer to conceal any blemishes and to try and hide my usual dark under eye bags. Then use the Nude by Nature Setting Powder to set the concealer in place. It’s a very fine, loose powder that doesn’t cake up or dry out my skin, perfect for this time of year!
Obviously a makeup look wouldn’t be complete without my fav, Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow palette, both powders are perfect for a quick dusting to brighten up my base. I then sweep some of the It Cosmetics Illuminating Blush in Je Ne Sais Quoi on the apples of my cheeks.
Glossier Boy Brow is perfect for a quick tint of my brows and lasts all day. A slick of Benefits They’re Real mascara in Brown and Nars Semi Matte in Dolce Vita and you’re ready to go!
If you really tried you could probably do this super simple look in five minutes. It lasts throughout the day and gives you the sort of flawless ‘just woke up like this’ look I aspire to actually wake up like!
