Having dry lips is the bane of my life! I am always on the search for ways to keep my lips baby soft and forever trying new products. I thought it would be handy to put them all in one post for you and give you my top tips!
I have a cute little makeup bag from Burt’s Bees where I keep all my lip balms and lip treatments. It stays beside my bed on my wee table. It’s super handy to have somewhere to keep them all together as I always lose lip balms! (I can’t be the only one!)
Lip Treatments
I have three lip treatments that I like to alternate between. These are all heavy duty treatments I like to use before going to sleep or when my lips are at their driest. The first is Nuxe’s Reve de Miel. I’ve only recently started using this when I won it in a giveaway hosted by the lovely Millie from ‘Modish Rambling‘ (She has an AMAZING beauty blog, you should definitely check it out!) I’ve already mentioned it in my June favourites because I fell in love with it. It’s super hydrating and completely rescues my lips whenever they’re dry and flaky. The other product similar to this is Nakin’s lip treatment balm. Unlike the Reve de Meil this is clear and has a more runny, shiny consistency. The last lip treatment is Neal’s Yard Remedies Busy Bee Balm. It the least intensive of the balms, I use this if my lips aren’t particularly dry. It is made of beeswax and smells of orange which I love!
Daily Lip Balms
These three lip balms I alternate for daily use. The Malibu lipbalm is perfect for summer as it has SPF 30! It’s so important to remember that your lips get sunburnt too! Everyone puts such an emphasis on protecting your skin but your lips are just as sensitive if not even more. Throughout June, July and August I make sure to use a lip balm with SPF, there are lots of different flavours in the the Malibu lip balm range, my current favourite is Tropical, it smells like you’re on holiday! BeeGood have a range of three lipbalms in the most lovely flavours. I love the raspberry and white chocolate one especially. Rather than being a stick, these balms are more creamy, they give a lovely shine to the lips and are perfect for popping over the top of a matte lip to give it a bit of shine and make your lips super juicy! Bioderma’s Atoderm lipbalm is my every day lip balm during winter. I feel it really protects my lips from cold wind and stops them from drying out!
Burt’s Bees lip balms
I couldn’t do a lip care post without mentioning Burt’s Bees. I recently did a little Burt’s Bees haul and tried out even more of their lip products. Burt’s Bees lip balms have been my go to for years and I don’t see that changing any time soon. They have so many products that keep lips hydrated and don’t ever dry them out. My favourite is still Burt’s Bees original lipbalm in the Pomegrante flavour. It smells and feels amazing and gives your lips a gorgeous, natural, pinkish tint.
I’m currently using Carmex and it is really really good. But I definitely want to try Nuxe one, just because it is so well loved by many. Great post. xx
I really need to try a lip treatment! My lips are very dry and they hurt, I use lipbalm everyday but it’s not helping, I need something strong.
Carolina’s Makeup Life
I’ve just started using some of the Burt’s Bees lip balms and they are amazing (and delicious)! Nuxe products seem to be pretty good, I used to have a lip gloss from them and I absolutely loved it. Great post! xx
I love buying lip balm, but I’ve definitely lost some that I had, and these ones sound great! I love the sound of the Burt’s Bees ones xx

I’ve bought my Mum a burts bees set for mothers day a while back- and she swears by it! I’ve never really tried any of these products myself though- I make my own vegan lipscrubs which seem to work just fine for keeping my lips plump and healthy!
This perfect is just on time! My lips have been so bad! In the UK with cold weather to France with super hot weather, they have suffered so much! I’ll try the Burt’s bees ones! xx corinne
Cannot get enough of Burt’s Bees. I’m using a really intensive daily treatment from Natura Bisse at the moment though – makes my lips really plump up! X
Lip care is something I’m really bad at so this post has inspired me to take better care of them! That tropical lip balm sounds so yummy!
I swear by that nuxe lip balm! So amazing! I’m the same with my lips being dry constantly. It’s so annoying.
I just hate having chipped lips. It’s the worst. I haven’t tried any of these products. My favorite lip balm is Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue. It’s minty which makes my lips so soft. x

I always have dry lips! I’ve never heard about these products though and they sound like I very much need it. I find that Nivea lip balms work the best for me and they smell like heaven as well! Also I love to have a lip scrub once a week to remove all the dry skin and make space for new rosy skin! Great post! I’ll be checking these products out for myself for sure.

Hi, I have tried many lip balms over theses yet I always go back to Burts Bees. I may have to try the Malibu for on my hols, Chloe.
I recently bought the Burts Bees Ultra Conditioning lip balm and I love it! It’s possibly the best lip balm I have ever used and I’ve tried a lot! Quite interested to give the Bioderma one a go as I’ve not tried that one xx
Thank you for following me !! I absolutely adore lip balms as I love the feeling of soft lips! I’ll be sure to check out and try your suggestions ! Great post xx
I always struggle with dry lips and I love using Carmex but I might try using Burts Bees!! Xx
I loove lip balms with a nice taste to them, that raspberry and white chocolate looks divine!! Also totally agree with your statement about remembering to protect your lips from the sun, I burnt mine on my holiday this year and it makes them so horribly dry and cracked for so long afterwards! π
