Let’s be serious, as much as I adore spending hours playing with makeup that’s not always practical. I work in a primary school and I LOVE my sleep so a quick 5 minute makeup for school mornings is exactly what I need to make the most of those last few minutes in bed before my crazy day starts!
To start any makeup routine hydration is key for me! Alongside my usual bathroom skincare I’ve been adding the Pixi Rose Caviar Essence before my base of choice. It feels absolutely amazing on dry skin, it’s cooling, hydrating and smells amazing. It also sinks into skin really quick so there’s no waiting around before continuing with the rest of your makeup.
My go to base for five minute makeup recently has been my Lily Lolo BB Cream that Fragrance Direct kindly treated me to back in January for a little makeup and skincare mix up. It’s really easy to apply, you just warm a pump between your fingers and rub on to your face so there’s no need to faff around with beauty blenders or brushes.
Cream products are great for quick makeup because you can warm the product in your hands before applying and blending with your finger tips. Nudestix Nudies are my new favourite thing! I use the blush stick in the shade bare back to add a little colour and brighten up my cheeks and then the highlight stick in illuminaughty to highlight my cheek and brow bone and Cupid’s bow. The Nudies also come in a little box with a mirror meaning their perfect to pop in your handbag for a quick top up throughout the day.
Rather than lipstick for a quick everyday look I like to go for a slick of lip balm followed by a lip pencil. Your lips stay hydrated and the colour pay off of a lip pencil lasts a lot longer throughout the day. I’m loving Nudestix’s magnetic matte lip colour in boho, it’s a gorgeous browny nude. I like to pop an extra layer of lipbalm over the top to give it a slightly glossy finish.
I like to neaten up my brows using Benefit’s Gimme Brow. It’s really quick to do as the little spoolie brushes out your brows at the same time as coating them in a tinted gel that sets your brows in place. Finally I like to pop some mascara on to waken up my eyes. I love Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara in brown, it’s a nice natural colour for everyday and a little less harsh than your usual black mascara.
You can get a lot done during 5 minutes! During the week I keep my routine simple & instead of a BB cream I like to use a powder foundation 😊
Love this post! It just isn’t practical in the mornings is it lol.. I don’t think I can quite do it in 5! But love the products you featured! Makeup sticks are really quick & easy to use.

Love this post. If I’ve got 5 minutes I do my eyebrows and stick a bit mascara on x
I spend no more than ten minutes so I totally relate! I use my Skin79 B.B. cream, some mascara and eyeliner and I would be great! I like to use powder and bronzer too though <3

This is such a great idea! I have barely any more than 5 minutes most mornings so this is perfect help! I love how natural your look is too x

I don’t know if this is just me, but if I tell myself I need to be quick, I usually take twice as long. I wish my routine could look like this! I’ve never tried anything from Nudesticks but I’ve always been intrigued by the brand. The shades you have here look lovely! x

Love the products you featured! I keep my makeup routine simple, a little bit of mascara, and BB cream 🙂

I’m exactly the same, that extra 5 minutes in bed is way more precious to me than a face full of make up 😛
Love these products, I’m notorious for only wearing BB cream and a bit of mascara when I have to be out the house quickly.

I have a small routine too… concealer, powder, blusher and mascara. A little surely does go a long way in transforming our morning faces! I am still yet to embrace my natural face at work (I work in a school too, secondary though). My routine would be quicker if I just didn’t apply anything! Loved this post, and I think I may just have to try out the Pixi product!

I would love to do my make up in 5 minutes but I can’t get it down to that, 8 minutes is my minimum 🙂 I’m a huge fan of multi use products too, they save so much time (and money). And I’m definitely with you on extra time in bed in the mornings! Lovely products you have here, thank you for sharing, xx
