‘New Year, New Me’ and all that! Boy does that saying annoy me! The New Year though, is the perfect excuse to try out some new makeup and skincare bits. Fragrance Direct is one of my favourite places to stock up on makeup and skincare goodies, they stock some amazing brands and the products are normally much more affordable than other retailers. They kindly let me pick a few goodies to switch up my routine and I’m so excited to tell you about all the products!

Nars Semi Matte Lipstick – Dolce Vita
This is going to be my new favourite everyday lip colour I can just tell! I hadn’t tried the Nars Semi Matte formula before and I’m so in love with it! It’s super comfortable to wear and gives a gorgeous natural tint to your lips. Dolce Vita is a gorgeous pinky browny everyday nude. I really want to try more shades from this range, do you have any recommendations?
Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Lip Conditioner
The weather is still majorly cold, my car was frozen solid this morning! Unfortunately this means my lips are still extremely dry and sore. Antipodes is a brand I’ve been super impressed with recently and I was delighted to see Fragrance Direct now stock Antipodes so I thought I’d give this lip conditioner a go. I love that it looks like a lipstick. Unlike a usual lip balm this is a solid oil stick so as you rub it across your lips heat allows it to become an oil. It’s not sticky and is super hydrating. It’s a major handbag essential right now.
Lily Lolo BB Cream – Fair
BB creams are something I’ve been desperate to use but I’ve never been able to find one pale enough for me! All of the ones I’ve tried previously have an annoying orange tone to them. I googled swatches online before ordering this and was super impressed with how pale it looked so I just had to give it a go! I absolutely love how flawless it makes my skin look. It takes away redness and evens out my complexion. A little concealer, some mascara and lipstick and my face is good to go in 2 minutes.
Lily Lolo Mineral Foundation – Porcelain
I tend to go for very full coverage foundations but sometimes it’s important to let your pores breath. I though this Lily Lolo mineral foundation would be the perfect way to do this. I haven’t had a chance to properly try this out yet but as I’m so impressed with the BB cream I’m sure I’ll love this too!

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm
I have been dying to try this balm for the longest time! Taking my makeup off is my least favourite part of my evening skincare routine, I find a lot of cleansers always leave a residue which then causes me to break out in spots. So I’ve made a mini skincare resolution to find an enjoyable and through way to take my makeup off. Take The Day Off is an unscented balm so it’s going to hopefully be great for sensitive skin.
Trilogy Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm
I’m also going to try out the Trilogy Be Gone Cleansing Balm, I thought it would be interesting to compare the two balms. (Let me know if you’d like a post on my thoughts!) Trilogy is a brand I’ve been wanting to try out for the longest time, their rose hip seed oil has been spoken of very highly but I have so many facial oils on the go right now that I thought a cleansing balm was a better thing to try. Trilogy use all natural ingredients, this cleansing balm is made using mango and coconut butter alongside hydrating rosehip oil.
Antipodes Rejoice Light Facial Day Cream
I tried out a travel size of this moisturiser when Gem kindly treated me to an Antipodes gift set for secret santa and loved it so I thought it was about time I pick up the full size! It’s light, hydrating and not greasy so thankfully hasn’t caused any breakouts. It’s a perfect everyday moisturiser for under makeup and it also takes some of the redness out of my skin which I’m super impressed with!
Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask
Gem speaks so highly of this mask that I just had to try it out, honey is supposed to be amazing for breakouts due to its antiseptic properties but it’s also super hydrating. What more could you want in a facemask? I can’t wait to try this out next time my skin’s having a breakout. Let me know if you’d like a review on my thoughts? Though I’m already sure it’s going to be a big hit!
Oh that NARS shade is such a good everyday colour! I’ve always wanted to try Antipodes too x

I seriously want to try the Clinique take the day of cleansing balm. So many bloggers have raved about it.
Candice | Beauty Candy Loves
All of these look amazing! I would also love a post on comparing the cleansing balm’s! I didn’t know that cleansers can sometimes leave a residue, I’ll have to be much more consistent and research a little more into my cleansing routine and what products would be best! Also I didn’t know Nars did Lipsticks! I’ve been so used to just hearing about their foundation and concealer so that was a pleasant surprise!
Wow, you picked up some incredible things from Fragrance Direct! I particularly love the Nars lipstick! xx
That manuka honey mask looks and sounds amazing!
