As a skincare and makeup obsessive I use ALOT of cotton wool pads, balls and buds. I use cotton wool pads to remove lots of different cleansers, balms and face masks and also to apply different toners. I use cotton wool balls on a weekly basis to remove nail polish and nail strengthener and I use cotton wool buds to fix those awful eyeliner and mascara mishaps, to fix any nail polish mishaps (and the obvious, to clean my ears!) As I test lots of different products I need to know my cotton wool items will stand up to the test.
Organyc are (as the name would suggest) a 100% organic and natural feminine care range. They have lots of products but for Organic Beauty Week they kindly sent me their cotton pads*, cotton wool balls* and cotton wool buds* to test out. All of their products are made from natural, organic cotton and are vegan and cruelty free.
Cotton Wool Balls
These are biodegradable organic cotton wool balls. All of the cotton has been grown without pesticides so there’s no risk of any nasty chemicals that could aggravate sensitive skin. They cost £2.59 for a bag of 100 which is very well priced in my opinion. As I said above I tend to use cotton wool balls to take off my nail polish. These are a good size and I was able to use one ball per hand. (even when taking off red nail polish!) They didn’t disintegrate, stick to or catch on my nails and leave annoying bits of cotton wool everywhere. Even the packaging they come in is biodegradable!
Cotton Wool Pads
I absolutely love these! They’re also made from 100% biodegradable organic cotton. As you can see from the picture, one side of these pads is quilted while the other side is flat. The quilted side it perfect for cleansing and the flat side is perfect for toning. They doesn’t break up (even when wet) and are lovely and soft on the skin. They come in packs of 70 for £2.49 so once again are really reasonably priced. I’ll definitely be picking up a few more packs of these!
Cotton Wool Buds
Honestly I’m not picky when it comes to cotton buds. The only thing that annoys me is if they come apart when soaked with nail polish remover. I use cotton buds to go along the side of my nail if a bit of polish has gone over the edge so if the bud disintegrates you get cotton wool stuck to your wet nail polish and it gets awfully messy! Thankfully this didn’t happen with these! These cotton buds are also really soft and gentle so were perfect for fixing mascara and eye liner mistakes! A pack of 200 cotton buds costs £2.69.
I really like this range of beauty essentials. It much prefer the idea of using organic cotton products with no pesticides so I have the peace of mind that my skin won’t be irritated. They’re all so soft too! You can buy all of these products and see what other products Organyc make at Pravera.
Have you used any products from Organyc before?

These are wonderful alternatives, personally I used a reusable muslin cloth for makeup removing etc. but I am totally buying the cotton buds once my plastic ones run out!

I’ve never thought to much about the cotton pads i use on the regular, which is crazy because i’m always applying something or another with one. These look so nice and soft so i can imagine it doesn’t pull or irritate the skin which is great.
Definitely going to have to check them out!
