Bite Beauty have been one of my most lusted after brands for years. A Canadian brand who create stunning vegan, cruelty free makeup and skincare products, I’ve been staring enviously at their Instagram for ages. I got some Bite Beauty lip liners shipped over a number of years ago and fell in love with the formula, you may remember them featuring in my top five lip liners post. So I was so excited when I heard Bite Beauty were finally launching in the UK and I have not been disappointed!
I was kindly gifted a number of the Power Move Soft Matte lipsticks and the Changemaker Foundation to try out. I’d been using both for a month or two now and felt it was about time I share my thoughts as both have become permanent features in my make up bag! The foundation in particular is my favourite!
Bite Beauty’s Power Move Soft Matte Lipsticks are as the name suggests a matte formula lipstick. They’re ultra light weight, you barely feel like you’ve anything on your lips which I really like and isn’t common with matte formula lipsticks that can feel heavy and drying. The formula is also ultra pigmented, I’ve found a little goes a long way.
I’ve been trying out Sesame, Sugar Buns, Chai and Hot Tomato. The first three are similar to the type of nude and pinky mauve shades I normally go for and I love all of them. Hot Tomato is a little more out there for me and while I enjoyed having a reason to try it out, I just wasn’t keen on the colour on my ghostly pale complexion and I also felt it left my lips a little stained after removing which I wasn’t keen on.
All in all though I love the Power Move Soft Matte Lipsticks and I’d definitely repurchase. I’m currently eying up the shade Praline!
Alongside the lipsticks, I’ve also been trying out Bite’s Changemaker Micellar Foundation. It has a fairly large shade range which I was impressed with and I was delighted that their fairest shade works for me. I’ve been using the shade, L10.
I cannot believe I’m saying this but I may prefer it to my most trusted Charlotte Tilbury foundation.
This foundation applies like a dream, it provides a medium coverage with a lightweight feel while still leaving skin looking healthy and glowy, just the sort of look I like! It lasts well through out the day, the only thing I noticed was a small bit of separation around my nose where I would tend to get a little oily. A little powder would remedy this though. I can’t lie, it is on the more pricey side for foundation but is well worth the investment in my opinion.
Have you tried anything from Bite Beauty since they launched in the uk? You can pick up products from their range at Boots and Feel Unique. I’m currently now eyeing up their Agave lip scrub and night time lip mask. I cannot wait to try more!

I love the sound of the lipstick formula, I can’t stand drying products, so it’s good to know that these feel weightless. Sesame is such a beautiful shade too xx
