I know Mother’s Day can be a tricky one for some people so if this isn’t for you that’s completely understandable and just keep on scrolling. This year is going to be particularly difficult with a lot of us not being able to see our mum’s and mother figures due to lockdown. That doesn’t mean we can’t pop some goodies in the post or a little care package on the doorstep though so I’ve put together some idea to treat the special women in your life this Mother’s Day.
I think after the year we’ve had mum’s, grandmother’s, aunts and any other special mother figures in your life deserve a pamper. Woods of Windsor’s True Rose range is the most beautifully scented range of bath and body treats for the ultimate pamper night. Soaps, moisturisers, shower gels, bath salts, there’s something for everyone and I wish you could smell through a screen because the whole range smells devine. Anyone would be delighted to receive a little pamper hamper as a gift.
Yardley also have a number of beautiful gift sets for your mum or Nan. I particularly love their English Rose set, containing a hand cream, body wash and moisturisers along with a rose patterned gardeners apron for a budding planter to make the most of the spring and summer.
Dr Paw Paw’s new Overnight Lip Mask is the perfect finish to a pamper night. I’ve really suffered with dry lips throughout lockdown and winter, I think being stuck inside so much with the heating on has really taken its toll on my already dry skin. Dr Paw Paw’s balm is fragrance free so suitable for even the most sensitive skin.
If you can’t be with your mum this Mother’s Day due to the current lockdown restrictions why not send round a super tasty OGG’s Zesty Lemon Cake for a little at home tea party via zoom. OGG’s cakes are suitable for vegans, they’re one of my favourite ranges of cakes (their mini vanilla cupcakes are to die for!) you can pick up the OGG’s range from your local sainsburys and Ocado.
Portmeirion have a huge range of tea party accessories to go alongside your beautiful cake. With tea plates, tea cups, pastry forks and cake slices there’s everything for an afternoon tea fit for a queen.
If your mum is off cakes for lent then Popcorn Shed have launched a special Mother’s Day treat box featuring 3 of their most popular luxury popcorn flavours. Chocolate, caramel and cookies and cream pop corn all wrapped up in a beautiful reusable tin with a bow. They also have a range of other flavours suitable for vegans, the butterscotch is my favourite!
Perrin Goose Press are a new small business who make stunning personalised letter press monogrammed goods. They have a range of card holders, purses, sunglasses cases, clutches and luxury key rings. As well as personalising opinions there’s also a huge range of colours to suit every taste and style. Their website isn’t quite ready but you can shop direct via their Instagram @perringoosepress.
I’m head over heels for their beautiful mama key ring in blush pink, I’m keeping it as a little treat for myself from Theodore.
If you’re looking for some other personalisable gift ideas, Prezzy Box have loads of gift ideas to suit almost anyone. I particularly love these cosy personalised monogrammed slipper socks. Perfect for a pamper night in with a face mask and a movie. If you’re looking for something really special this gold bar necklace can be personalised with a word in your own handwriting. Theodore and I wrote his name together and I just love how it looks, a beautiful gift to cherish for years to come.
Another of my favourite things to gift is fragrance, especially with lockdown easing on the horizon, a new scent for your mum to show off when we finally get to enter the real world again would be ideal. Clean Beauty’s Clean Reserve perfumes are one of my favs. If you read my Everyday Fragrance Guide you’ll already know how much I adore Warm Cotton. If cotton scents aren’t to you mums taste then Amber Saffron is a citrus and floral scent and something a little different for your mum this Mother’s Day.
