I always revamp my handbag contents in the summer time and add a few bits and bobs to help me survive the heat and outdoor activities. Alongside the obvious sunglasses, purse and phone there’s a few beauty bits I couldn’t be without.
Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist is my number one hand bag essential. My face gets severely dry during the summer months which is frustrating and rather uncomfortable. A spritz of the Queen of Hungary mist and my face looks instantly hydrated and feels soothed. I’m actually popping this in my hospital bag too to help cool me down a little. Omorovicza actually make a travel size version of this mist which I need to pick up. It’s only 30ml so perfect for travel!
Another of my favourite summertime products is Temple Spa’s Life Defence. I apply this below my makeup in the morning as it hydrates my skin and has SPF 25 to protect it from the sun but I like to pop this in my handbag as well to apply it throughout the day. It applies beautifully over makeup and doesn’t ruin foundation or cause your skin to look greasy.
I have a Burt’s Bees lip balm in my handbag all year round if I’m honest, they are still my favourite lip balms of all time and if you haven’t tried one yet you really don’t know what you’re missing! I particularly like the tinted lip balms for summer time as they give your lips a slick of colour as well as hydrating them.
RosehipPlus Rosehip Oil is perfectly sized for a handbag and has so many uses! Not only can you use rosehip oil in your skincare routine, I like to massage this into my cuticles through out the day as part of my nail care routine. It also reduces the appearance of insect bites which are inevitable during the summer months.
The Twist + Spritz Atomiser is a new addition to my handbag and I’m so excited by it. My beautiful perfume bottles aren’t made for bringing out and about so the Twist + Spritz is the perfect solution. You can fill it up with 8ml of your favourite perfume allowing you to top up throughout the day without the need to take out a large bottle. The Twist + Spritz is super easy to fill up too so there’s no need to bring it to a perfume shop to fill for you like previous atomisers I’ve had.
My final beauty must have for my handbag is some tweezers. They’re a really handy thing to carry with you. I have a pair from Rubis, who have created a handy little travel pouch to keep them safe in your handbag.
I have that exact Burt’s Bees balm in my bag right now! 🙂 I don’t usually update the contents on a seasonal or even a regular basis as what’s in my bag is mostly a mix of the essentials and whatever the kids stick in – haha – but I probably should get better at it. The Twist & Spritz sounds super convenient especially with being able to refill it so easily. Thanks for sharing this! P.S. Your flat lays are always so wonderful!!
I’m obsessed with rose hip oil (it’s the best thing I’ve ever put on my skin) and I always have a home made beeswax lip balm in my bag too 👌😊
I’ve started using Rosehip Oil in my skincare routine this last week, and I’m obsessed with it 😍 xx

Lip balm is definitely a must when it comes to what’s in my handbag. That twist + spritz atomiser is genius! I’m the same! My perfumes are way to big and to carry around with me. Great post!
The Queen of Hungary mist sounds amazing especially in this heatwave that we’ve been having! Also love the idea of the burst bees lip balm I’ve never tried that before but it looks lovely! Great post x
Burts Bees are my absolutely favourite lip balms too!! I have so many different variations of them for different occasions, my favourite currently is the strawberry one, or a tinted glitter one if I’m wearing makeup! The Life Defence sounds wonderful and like something I definitely need, I’ve never known an SPF to apply well ON TOP of makeup so that’s definitely a game changer. Need to get myself one of those twist and spritz atomisers too as I’m fed up of lugging round heavy perfume bottles!

Feel like I should start having seasonal content in my bags, I seem to carry everything round with me for no reason haha! Wouldn’t surprise me if I found a pair of gloves in the bottom of my bag haha!
I love Burt’s Bees! They have amazing products especially their lip balms! Xx
