Mama Mio are every pregnant woman’s dream. A skincare brand specifically created for pregnant, sensitive skin. They kindly sent me over a bundle of goodies to help me survive my pregnancy.
All Mama Mio products are cruelty free and free from any nasties so they’re safe for pregnant skin.
The Tummy Rub Butter
Every article I’ve read about growing a bump has talked about those ‘dreaded stretch marks’. I was lucky through puberty and didn’t get any so I’m hoping I’ll be lucky through my pregnancy too. That being said I’m going to do everything I can to help prevent them and keeping skin soft, supple and moisturised is one of the best ways. Mama Mio’s Tummy Rub Butter is my new favourite thing! I have dry skin so not only is this helping to keep any stretch marks away but it’s also hydrating my skin. It smells amazing and is such a lovely treat. I’ve been massaging this into my tummy and thighs morning and night and it feels like a real treat. It sinks into skin super quickly so you don’t need to take time to wait for it to dry before popping on your clothes or pyjamas. Even if you’re not expecting I’d 100% advise treating yourself to a little pot of this!
The Tummy Rub Oil
The Tummy Rub Oil is a more intensive version of the Tummy Rub Butter. You can use it alone or you can layer it with the butter for some extra hydration! I’m saving this for a few months down the line when my bump is much bigger but I have used it a few times and love how it feels. Like the butter it sinks in very quickly which I really like as I’m always on the go and don’t have time to wait for products to dry in.
Pregnancy Boob Tube
Boob tube is as the name suggests a moisturiser to keep your growing boobs hydrated and firm. My décolleté and chest area has never been some where I thought about moisturising. The skin is super delicate though and when your bust size changes during pregnancy it struggles to bounce back so Boob Tube helps to elasticise the skin and prepare for this. I’m absolutely loving using it so far, it smells and feels amazing on my skin, I’m really looking forward to seeing how it works over time!
Pregnancy Boob Tube currently has some gorgeous limited edition packaging to support breast cancer awareness. They’re donating £10,000 to the charity ‘Look good, feel better’
Keep Calm Nipple Balm
Thankfully I’ve not have to use this little tube yet but I’m sure it’s going to be a life saver when I start to breast feed. The Keep Calm Nipple Balm is a lanolin based balm so it’s perfectly safe for breastfeeding mama’s. The balm moisturises and soothes cracked nipples (which I’m dreading!) so I’ll definitely be letting you know how I get on with this further down the line.
I hope you enjoyed these little mini reviews. I am in love with Mama Mio and it’s 100% a brand I’ll be using throughout my pregnancy and after birth when my body is adjusting to not having a bump anymore! You can pick up Mama Mio products at Mama Mio’s website as well as places like Cult Beauty or Look Fantasic.
