Autumn is the perfect time to revamp your hair styling routine and that’s exactly what I’ve done! I always wear my hair straight and to be honest I’ve been getting a little bored of it so I was over the moon when xtava kindly sent me one of their twist curling wands* to try out. I think curls are gorgeous for this time of year. My hair has also been looking a little limp so I thought it was about time I change up my hair care products too.
I started trying out the Charles Worthington Micellar Shampoo & Conditioner range and have been loving the results. The aim of these products is to give your hair a weightless feel without stripping your hair of it’s natural oils. It smells incredible and has given my hair a new lease of life! I wash my hair twice a week and this shampoo/conditioner combination has allowed me to do that without my hair getting greasy or limp in between washes. I also like to use my Amaki Jasmine & Rose oil on the bottom third of my hair once a week as this is where my hair gets driest!
I’ve been creating beautiful autumnal curls with an xtava curling wand.* When purchasing the wand you can pick different barrel sizes depending on how you’d like your curls to look. I choose the largest 1-1.5″ barrel as I wanted to create loose waves but there’s smaller options if you’d like corkscrew curls! The xtava curling wands come with a heat resistant bag and a little glove to stop your hand getting burnt when you hold your hair in place.
The wand heats to 210^C but you can also change the temperature to cooler (or higher) using the little arrows on the wand. It takes around three minutes to fully heat up so there’s no waiting around (perfect for people like me who leave getting ready to the last minute!) This wand is so easy to use, it’s perfect for beginners! You simply wrap a small section of your hair around the barrel hold for a few seconds and voila you’ll have a perfect curl. I always curl my hair away from my face as I feel this looks most natural!
There’s something about little curls poking out of a bobble hat I find so autumnal! These photos were taken in very windy conditions and rain so I’m pretty impressed with how the curls held!

My curls never stay on for long in England. I don’t have that problem when I’m in Poland, so I’m going to blame the fact that my hair is not used to humidity. I can curl my hair and as soon as I leave the house they’re gone. I doesn’t stop me though! I love taking loads of photos in my curly hair and I’ll be forever wishing mine would be curly!

Such a cute hairstyle. So simple and easy to achieve. I love hairstyles that are quick, because I don’t like to spend too much time, and curls are the perfect way to add that extra something. I don’t use curling wand as my hair is naturally really curly, so I do the opposite by using straighteners to twist looser curls. This shampoo sounds amazing though and your hair looks lovely.
