I’ve sworn by Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer for years but recently I’ve been a little unsure of the coverage. Then when Nars decided to start selling in China I though this was the perfect time to try out something new. I have been lusting after Shape Tape for forever and Tarte had free international shipping a few weeks ago and quite frankly I just couldn’t resist!
I will admit I was a little bit irritated with how long this took to ship. The Tarte website said my order would be with me 8-10 days from it shipped and I waited 17! I guess that’s just a disadvantage of living in Northern Ireland but I felt it was worth mentioning that you shouldn’t be ordering this from Tarte directly if you need it quickly. Thankfully though, there were no surprise customs fees when it arrived as Tarte give you the option to pay them online in advance!
I’ve read so many reviews of Shape Tape and looked at hundreds of swatches but I was nervous still of buying online. It’s a lot of money to spend on a concealer for it to be too dark! I decided to order the shade ‘fair’ which is the very lightest shade. A lot of people said ‘fair’ is almost white but quite honestly I’m so pale that ‘almost white’ sounds perfect for me!
The concealer is actually much bigger than I’d realised it was which is definitely a welcome surprise. I love the packaging, it feels really great quality. There’s also a huge doe foot applicator, much bigger than any I’ve ever seen! The shade it’s self is actually perfect for me and almost identical to Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly so if you’re looking for one to swatch as a shade comparison go to your nearest Nars counter! If I’m being really picky the Shape Tape is ever so slightly darker and more yellow toned but it’s so minimal it doesn’t make a difference. (The swatch below is unedited to try and show the shade as best as possible)
This is very full coverage and a little goes a long way. It smells really good (I didn’t know that was something I was missing in a concealer?!) and has a smooth, matte finish. Honestly I am completely sold. My skin has been a mess recently so this was really put to the test and I was so impressed with the coverage and with how long it lasted. I genuinely regret not buying this sooner. I will definitely be picking up another few of these next time Tarte have free international shipping!

I love the Tarte Shape Tape. I have not bought any other concealer since I purchased it, and it’s the only concealer that has covered my dark circle (but I still have to use a peachy color corrector). The NARS concealer didn’t do squat for my dark circles.

I’ve never actually tried Tarte products and have always wanted to, and I have been in need of a new concealer for so long, so I definitely think I’ll try this! It’s so good that it’s a pale shade too, because it can be a nightmare to find a shade that suits these days! xo

Ohhhh I’d really like to try this! I’ve been hearing a lot about this concealer recently – I too love the nars concealer but I’m definitely up for trying something new. Iv not tried any of the Tarte products, mainly due to the fact that they have to be ordered online. I like to swatch and try everything before I buy. I am however tempted by this as sometimes I feel like I need a little heavier concealing! Thanks for the review x
